Bibliotecas e portais
Un artigo de Lorcan Dempsey (VP Reasearch, OCLC) publicado no número de Outubro de Update (tenho que recordar que quedan só dous meses para renovar o meu carnet de CILIP: algún membro galego-lusófono entre os leitores?) lévame a ler o máis extenso "The recombinant library: portals and people", que tamén sobre o mesmo tema publicou fai perto de un ano.
Son 38 páxinas en pdf, nas que analiza os usos e as posibilidades futuras dos portais e a súa arquitectura, no contexto bibliotecario e de internet. Para os que non conhezan ao autor dicir só que ten unha experiencia excepcional no campo: foi Director de UKOLN (UK Office for Library and Information Networking), co-Director de RDN (Resource Discovery Network, sobre a que xa temos falado neste blog en varias ocasións) e Director de DNER (Distributed National Electronic Resource).
